Eligibility & Registration: All Rated & unrated players who have renewed their AICF registration for the year 2021-22 are eligible. Players should register their names through apchess.org. Other than Andhra Pradesh players are requested to register as guest. No entry will be allowed without registering in apchess.org. There is no manual registration. Organiser has the right to accept or reject any entry without assigning any reason. Number of entries is subject to COVID protocol of the government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time. In case of rejection entry fee will be refunded to the player concerned. Payment of entry fee can not be considered as acceptance of registration. Only entries confirmed in apchess.org will be considered as accepted entries. For registration please contact the number provided hereunder in the Registration help desk.
Note: Players are requested to upload the payment receipt and furnish correct AICF registration number in the space provided in apchess.org while registering their names. Players can edit their profile in the registration form until it is confirmed or rejected.
Last Date of Registration: Players have to register their names on or before 6pm 25-11-2021. After the due date acceptance of entry is subject to organising committee and with a late fee of Rs. 1,000/-.
Prize Money Tie: In case of tie, prize money will not be shared. One player always eligible for one higher category prize only. ( Main category or other lower category, whichever cash prize is higher ) If both cash prizes are the same then the main category prize will be given.
COVID Conditions: All players must wear mask and use sanitizer during the game. Without mask there is no entry into the tournament hall. Players above 18 and parents of below 18 should carry ( digital) vaccination certificate. Players subject to Thermal screening during their entry into the tournament hall.
TDS/GST: Prize Money is subject to TDS/GST as applicable.
Technical Rules & Regulations
- Time Control : 90 Min + 30 Sec Increment from Move 1
- Default Time : 15 Minutes (Walkover)
- Tie Breaks :
- Buchholz Cut 1
- Buchholz No Cut
- Sonneborn-Berger
- Direct Encounter
- Greater Number of Victories (Inclusive Forfeit)
- Number of wins with Black pieces
- Protest: Protest If any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter shall be made in writing with protest fee of Rs.1000/- with in 15 Min. of the occurrence of the incident to the appeals committee. The protest fee will be refunded, if the appeals upheld.
- Appeals Committee: Before the commencement of the Tournament appeals committee will be formed from the senior participants present at the players meeting. The appeals committee decision will be final and binding.
- Withdrawals: A player may withdraw at any stage of the event, after informing the chief arbiter in writing.
- Wrist Watches and Mobile Phones: AICF has banned the wrist watches while playing FIDE rated events. Players are instructed not wear any type of wrist watch while playing. Mobile Phones strictly not allowed Violating the rule in above both cases will lead loss of the game, awarded the point to opponent.
- AICF registration for the year 2021-22 is compulsory. Before submitting the entry.
- Latest FIDE rules Latest FIDE Rules shall apply in addition to these rules.
- Illegal Move: Only one illegal move per player per game is allowed. 2nd illegal move by same player in same game, forfeits that game. Illegal move should be inform to Arbiter, or else its not counted.
- Absence: If any player is absent without informing Chief Arbiter, his name will be removed from further rounds.
