MLA SHRI DHARMANA MAKES FIRST MOVE OF THE SRIKAKULAM CHESS
11-04-2021: MLA Shri Dharamana Prasada Rao garu inagurated the Srikakulam District Chess Championship making first move of the tournament. Addressing the players at Srikakulam, Sri Dharmana Prasad Rao, congratualted the District Committee for producing more than 15 International Rated Players in a span of 3 years. Mr Bheema Rao, Member of Ad-hoc Committee stated that he is going to take up necessary steps to teach basics to the Governemnt School Children which will increase the academic standards of the children. Chief Guest impressed the way organisers made arrangements as a part of precautionary measures of COVID 2019 by disinfecting the entire playing and sitting areas and for arrangemnt of Thermal Screning, Masks, Sanitisers in the tournament hall. 54 players from all over the district have taken part in this championship. Top-4 of this championship will represent Srikakulam district in the coming State Championship which is scheduled to be held at Nellore from 23rd April to 25th April, 2021.
