Andhra Chess Association (ACA) has taken a commendable initiative to organize all Age group selections as FIDE Rating Tournaments. The motive behind this step is to provide young kids with an opportunity to achieve an international rating in these tournaments. ACA President Sri KVV Sarma Garu, Secretary Sri Bheema Rao Garu, and Treasurer Sri KV Jwala Mukhi Garu have come forward with this novel idea, which can greatly help in the development of chess in the state.
In a bid to promote the game of chess in the Anakapalle district, ACA has taken another wonderful decision of organizing the Under-17 State Level Chess Championship in this newly formed district. The tournament will be held at Narsipatnam, organized by Aditya Chess Academy on behalf of Anakapalle District Chess Association in association with Andhra Chess Association.
The tournament committee comprises Anakaplle District Chess Association President Sri M. Venkateswara Rao, Secretary Sri Amalakanta Srinivasa Rao, and Organizing Committee members Sri Vooda Ramu and Dr. Biswas. The tournament director for the event is Anakapalle District's top FIDE Rated Chess Player and Chess Coach M. Rama Krishna.
Speaking about the tournament, ADCA Secretary A. Srinivas said that Anakapalle district is going to conduct this amazing Rating age group tournament for the first time in Andhra Pradesh. It is an honor for Narsipatnam to host this kind of tournament.
This tournament is a golden opportunity for young chess players to showcase their skills and achieve an international rating. It is an opportunity for them to compete against some of the best players in the state and hone their skills. Such initiatives by the ACA can help in the overall development of chess in the state and encourage more young players to take up the sport.
