Sri Bheemarao, Secretary ACA along with
Sri Jwalamkhi, Treasurer, ACA & Sri MV Rao, President, Anakapalli District
Chess Association & Sri S Manikanta Rao, Secretary, All Visakha Chess
Association released the Official prospectus of Andhra Pradesh State Chess
Championship -2023. First time in the history of Andhra Pradesh official
state championship is going to be conducted with huge prize money of Rs.
2,50,000/- with more than 70 cash prizes to the winners. The tournament
is scheduled from 26th to 29th May 2023 at Tirupati. The
tournament will be organised under the FIDE laws of chess as FIDE classical
event and necessary approvals of AICF & FIDE obtained accordingly. Unrated players can get their starting rating
with this tournament.
Each district can send 4 normal entries as
selected with entry fee of Rs. 500/- There is chance of first 100 players
who registered in apchess.org as special entry with fee of Rs. 2,000/-
subject to recommendation of respective district affiliated unit of ACA.
Special entries beyond 100 is subject to availability of playing space as
decided by the organising committee.
Tirupati District Chess Association under the
chairmanship of Sri C DIVAKARREDDY garu, who is the Vice-Chairman of ACA &
Chairman of Dollers Group , Tirupati is hosting this mega event of Andhra
Pradesh. Mr H Srinivasa Suri, Secretary , Mr Mallikharjuna,
President , & Mr Kiran Kumar , Vice-President & Mrs Shaik
Shareefa, Tournament Director & Vice-President of Tirupati District Chess
Association, are the key members of
organising committee. Mr GV Kumar , Internation Arbiter will be chief Arbiter
of this championship besides Mr Uday Kumar Naidu, FA & Mr NM Phani Kumar,
FA being Dy.chief Arbiters.
Salient features of prospectus:
* All entries including normal
entries should be registered in apchess.org
* Last Date of registration
10-05-2022
* Late fee Rs. 500 for normal
entries & Rs. 1,000 for special entries up to 15th, May 2023.
* Beyond last date including late
fee no entry will be entertained.
* Selected players also obliged to
attach the payment proof while registering.
* If entry fee paid twice i.e by
District and Player, then the same will be refunded.
* In case of selections of district
is beyond due date, for such players due date is date of selection of
that particular district.
* District Associations are advised
to pay the entry fee to Andhra Chess Association well before the due date.

* Entries are subject to rejection if found improper
details.
* Players from Districts where no selections conducted will
be treated as special entries only.
* No change of special entry to normal entry will be
considered beyond last date of registration including late fee. Selected Players are requested to inform to the
District association well before the last date of registration in case of
non-participation in state championship. In case if selected player failed to inform the district unit about non-participation in state championship before last date , such player shall pay
special entry fee of the next player in the merit list of particular district.
In no case, Organizing committee accept the change of special entry to normal entry beyond due date
of registration i.e 15-05-2023.
* All selected entries will be verified with the
chessresults.com and District units are advised to follow the final standings list
as per chessresults.com in case of non-participation of selected players. They
should follow the merit and then only recommend the next player as selected
entry.
* Unfurnished lodging will be provided to only selected
players of particular district units. Other players & parents are advised to
look after their own arrangements for accommodation.
* No player will be recommended for nationals without
participating in the state championship.
* For the present year National Championship is open for
all rated players.
Important Note: Championship
is conducted from 26th to 29th May at Tirupati. Those who want to get Darshan tickets of lord
Balaji, they can book on line in TTD website.
May month tickets are going to be issued from 24th of
April. They will be closed by 26th
April. Otherwise it is very difficult to get the Darshan. Darshan slot if obtained, slot change can be
requested. This is only for information.
