During the on going State Team Chess Championship at Vizianagaram, Sri S Bheemarao, Secretary inaugurated and started the Chess in Schools registration APCIS Registration portal in apchess.org. Shri P Mastanbabu, Vice-President, ACA, Shri KV Jwalamukhi, Treasurer, Shri GV Kumar, IA & Secretary EG district shared the moment along with Shri Bheemarao.
ACA is undergoing this noble project of Chess in Schools in line and in accordance with the rules and regulations of All India chess Federation CIS project. Initially web portal apchess.org for APCIS registration giving registration to All Schools/Chess clubs in Andhra Pradesh to teach the children about basics of chess. All registered schools will get registration certificate from All India Chess Federation. Syllabus prepared by Grand Masters will be supplied to all registered schools of ACA web portal.
Chief Advisor for Chess in Schools of AP Sri V Siva Rama Krishna, released the prospectus for Registration of Schools in APCIS/AICF CIS. For all government schools no registration fee. However Rs. 1,000/- per schools/Chess club is chargeable on yearly basis.
Simultaneously ACA declared 3rd batch of APCIS Trainers to increase the trainers. APCIS will be nodal agency between AICF(CIS) and Registered Schools. APCIS will be in touch with all registered Schools to get trained their teachers as basic chess coaches besides regular production of CIS Trainers. After the completion of basic level coaching program AICF through CA will organise examination for students who have trained under this project and issue certification to all qualified students.
Schools registered can choose the CIS Coaches for Chess Training in their schools. The list of coaches of Andhra Pradesh alongwith contact details made available to the schools. Schools can enrol users (chess players ) . No data of the player is required except name of the player for consolidation of number of students district wise / State wise. If Registered school intend to generate their own coaching, they can send some of their teachers those who have basic idea of chess game to ACA CIS Training program for getting trained and for certification as APCIS Trainer. Andhra Chess Association will not come into coaching charges / coach appointment etc except providing knowledge sharing and Training Program to APCIS Trainers. However, after completing of the Courses as designed by AICF (CIS) unit, ACA will organise Examination on behalf of AICF and certificates will be provided to all qualified students. This is only basic chess knowing program but not professional chess coaching.
For the students of the schools which are not registered as APCIS Schools, ACA is giving registration to Chess clubs/ Chess Academies where such students can get basic training program. Even some of the government school children can also opt this Chess club/ Academies if their schools not become part of APCIS program.
