Final Standings Announced for Visakha District U07 Open & Girls Chess Selections – 2025

Visakhapatnam, April 20, 2025 –

The Visakha District U07 Open & Girls Chess Selections – 2025 concluded successfully today at Gayathri Vidya Mandir, with young talents showcasing their chess skills in a competitive atmosphere. The tournament was organized by Acharya Chess Academy on behalf of the All Visakha Chess Association.

A total of 36 participants took part in the event, with 23 players in the Open category and 13 players in the Girls category. The Open section featured five rounds, while the Girls section was conducted across four rounds.


Final Standings:

Open Category:

1st Place: Danush Pilla – 4.5 points – awarded a cash prize of ₹400

2nd Place: Abhinav Vyadyabhushana – 4 points – awarded a cash prize of ₹300

Girls Category:

1st Place: Diya Tejasri Buddha – 4 points – awarded a cash prize of ₹400

2nd Place: Aadrithi K – 3 points – awarded a cash prize of ₹300

These top performers have earned the opportunity to represent Visakha district in the State U07 Open & Girls Chess Championship – 2025, to be held in Palanadu district.

The winners were felicitated with cash prizes, trophies, and certificates in the presence of esteemed guests:

The tournament was efficiently managed under the supervision of Tournament Director Prasanth from Acharya Chess Academy, with the support of experienced arbiters MVS Prasad, Kalyan Kumar, Ramakrishna, and Suryanarayana.
