International FIDE Rating Rapid & Blitz Open Chess Tournament–2025 in Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam, August 23: The Andhra Chess Association, under the aegis of the All India Chess Federation and with the support of Waltair Club, will be organizing the International FIDE Rating Rapid & Blitz Open Chess Tournament–2025 on August 30 & 31 at Waltair Club, Siripuram, Visakhapatnam. A total cash prize of ₹2,00,000 has been announced for the participants.
With the objective of promoting chess in Andhra Pradesh, this prestigious tournament will provide players the opportunity to obtain new international ratings or improve their existing ones—helping them advance their chess careers.
Prize Money
Rapid Tournament (August 30 & 31): ₹1,50,000
Blitz Tournament (August 31): ₹50,000
Special Highlights
Medals for all participants under 15 years of age.
E-certificates for all players.
Time Control
Rapid: 15 minutes + 5 seconds (from move one)
Blitz: 3 minutes + 2 seconds (from move one)
Eligibility
A valid All India Chess Federation (AICF) ID is mandatory.
All age groups with renewed AICF ID are eligible to participate.

Rapid: ₹750
Blitz: ₹250
