( INVITATION TOURNAMENTS MORE  THAN ONE DISTRICT )

Subject: Guidelines for Conduct of Invitational Chess Tournaments

It is hereby informed to all District Chess Associations, Organisers, and Academies that, as per the resolutions of the General Body Meeting dated 29-03-2026, the following guidelines are issued regarding the conduct of Invitational Chess Tournaments in Andhra Pradesh.


1. Definition

An Invitational Tournament is a tournament:

Conducted by inviting selected players by individuals and Academies ( including Andhra Chess Academies )

Covering one or more districts

Not classified under regular State Championships or Open tournaments


2. Minimum Duration

Invitational tournaments shall be conducted for a minimum of 2 days


3. Approval & Bid Process

Organisers intending to conduct an invitational tournament involving more than one district must:

Submit a Bid Form to Andhra Chess Association

Pay a non-refundable fee of ₹2,000/- along with the bid


4. Entry Fee Regulations

Entry fee shall be regulated as follows:

Maximum 2% of total prize money for a 2-day tournament

For each additional day: additional 1% may be charged


5. Invitational Tournaments without Prize Money

In case no cash prize is offered:

Entry fee shall not exceed ₹500/-, irrespective of number of days


6. Compliance Requirements

All Invitational Tournaments must:

Be conducted with prior approval of ACA (where applicable)

Adhere to ACA / AICF / FIDE guidelines, wherever relevant

Maintain proper transparency in:

Invitations, Entry fee collection, Tournament conduct


7. Authority & Modifications

The Secretary, Andhra Chess Association is authorised to:

Modify the above guidelines if required

Issue clarifications with due intimation to General Body members

8. Publication & Calendar Guidelines

· Invitational Tournaments shall not be included in the Andhra Pradesh State Tournament Calendar

· Such tournaments will be published only in the respective District domains/pages of apchess.org

These tournaments shall be treated as independent events and not as official State Calendar events

9. General Instructions

Organisers must ensure that:

No unauthorised or unapproved tournaments are conducted under ACA jurisdiction. All ACA regulations are strictly followed. Any violation may attract disciplinary action as per ACA rules


This circular shall come into force with immediate effect.
