CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE WINNERS AND PARTICIPANTS OF THE FIRST ONLINE CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP ON THE LICHESS PLATFORM.

EVENTHOUGH ENTRIES CLOSURE DUE DATE IS 07-05-2021, PLAYERS ARE ACCEPTED UPTO 1PM ON 09-05-2021.

KEEPING IN VIEW OF THE DIFFICULTIES OCCURED DURING THE FIRST TOURNAMENT, ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES ARE FURNISHED HEREUNDER FOR THE PLAYER'S REFERENCE.

1. The platform used for online tournament will be lichess (https://lichess.org/).

2. Player must have both lichess id & apchess id.

3. As we are restricting the online chess tournament to Andhra Pradesh Chess Players only, the organisers need to crosscheck the user registration in apchess.org and lichess id of the player, both the details should match.

4. During the first online tournament, some players have joined the andhrapradeshchess team on lichess without registering on apchess.org. Those players are not allowed to join the team of andhrapradeshchess on lichess platform. This happened with many players.

5. Some players registered in apchess.org tournament module and they have not provided a valid lichess id. Those players are not allowed to join the  tournament.

6. Some players provided correct lichess id in the space provided, however, they have not joined in the lichess team of andhrapradeshchess. Those players are also not allowed to join the team of andhrapradeshchess as there is no scope of matching the lichess id of the player to allow in the andhrapradeshchess room on lichess.

Keeping in view of the above, players are requested to follow the procedure laid down hereunder for subsequent online tournaments.

1.  Those players who have joined in the lichess andhrapradeshchess team (confirmed entries)  need not register their names for future tournaments.  Their names will be automatecally allowed to participate in the future online tournaments.

2. Those who are not confirmed need to register and get their names confirmed for adding them to lichess team of andhra pradesh chess. 

3. While fullfilling the details, players need to provide correct lichess id and they should send join request to andhrapradeshchess team in the below link

after reconcilation of the both, the player will be allowed to join the andhrapradeshchess lichess team.  

The above procedure may cause some difficulty for the players for initially joining in the lichess team of andhrapradeshchess. However, once the player joined the team of andhrapradeshchess in lichess, for subsequent tournaments it is very easy for a player to participate in the touranment with a single click on the tournament id provided before the tournament.

Guest Users:

For the first time guest users (other than Andhra Pradesh State) are allowed as guests. Guests who are also registered users of apchess.org as guests. For the first online tournament guest players are not bifurcated and they are considered as normal players. From the successive tournament onwards guests will be awarded special prizes but they are not considered for Andhra Pradesh Open prizes.

Age Group clarification:

Some age group players have not provided their age group certificates and some age group players have registered their names in the open category. If they have not edited their profile under the respective age groups, they will be considered for open category only. If any player provide false date of birth certificate or age declaration, he / she will be liable for suitable remidial action as applicable.
