Master DCS Avanish Gupta, a 13 year old boy from Visakhapatnam is the new Visakhapatnam district Chess Champion. He has International ELO Rating of 1386. He became champion by securing 5 out of 5 rounds. This boy started his career in the year 2015. Parents Sri D. Radha Krishna working as Dy. Director, ESIC, & Smt T. Saraswati, Working as ward Secretary, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation. His sister Devaki Nandana is also a chess player and stood 8th position in the current championship. Previously the boy stood second in U/9 state championship of Andhra Pradesh. He is now studying 8th std in Little Angles School, MVP Colony, Visakhapatnam.
