IMRAN from Vijayawada, Krishna District has exhibited his outstanding performance in the Vijayawada Rapid Rating tournament. He stood 5th among 439 participants. He has not lost a game in this tournament except drwas in 4th , 8th & 9th Rounds. He drew his 8th & 9th rounds with International Masters Muthaiah Al of Tamilnadu & Mr Raviteja of Andhra Pradesh. Overall he sucured 7.5 points out of 9 rounds in this torunament.. Initially he is 25th seed of the tournament and with this performance he increased 50+ rating points..
Coming to Tournament results, International Master Arghyadip from West Bengal captured Championship with 8 points followed by Mr M Nikhil of Visakhapatnam & International Master Raviteja with 8 points secured 2nd and 3rd spots respectively..
Shri KS Prasad, President Telangana Chess, Shri KVV Sarma, President Andhra Chess,, Shri Bheemarao S , Secretary Andhra Chess & other guests attended on the closing cermony awarded Medals and cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000 to all winners.
